Does anyone know what governmental medical coverage, my dad could get? -
He was injured and can't work at the time. He's 52. Are there any programs available for him from the government for medical coverage? Yes. Check with your state and Social Security. The state can provide medical insurance through the Medicaid programand possibly food stamps. Social Security can provide SSI, disability, benefits. He could file for disability, but may impact his social security. disabled insurance is available... medicade... or social security disability . Check with the social security office for more help in your state Nope, no one knows. Government medical coverage for someone of 52 - it's either going to be Medicare, IF he's been on social security disability for over two years, or Medicaid, which depends on the household income and his personal assets. That's it.
