Advantages of USAA?? -

Their rates are very low, their coverage is excellent and their customer service is outstanding. As a matter of fact, Business Week recently ranked USAA's customer service as #1 among insurance companies. in all my dealing with usaa, i have found 1 thing to be true above all else. its good if you are the one insured through them, bad if you are not. they do not like to pay claims without a fight. i have one pending now that has been going on for over 6 months...all over a small amount (about $2000). one of their insured's hit one of mine and totalled his car. all he wants is ACV for the total loss. they have accepted liability for the loss and paid everything but the loss of the actual car. after 30 days they still had not settled and pulled his rental car. i hate dealing with usaa as no body will EVER call you back. if you are their insured...I guess their customer service is better. They are much more relaxed with issues common to military households, than most other insurance companies. Examples: If you haven't had prior coverage because you've been deployed overseas, other carriers will uprate you.
