Can a 14 yr old work? Or get a work permit? -

i want a job, but don't know if 14 yr old's can work. I believe you can get a permit. But the vast majority of low level jobs available to teens won't hire anyone under 16.. So you could do it, but it might be difficult to find a job. Yes, they can work, and yes, they can get a work permit, but it's so restrictive, that the vast majority of employers won't hire a 14 year old. Your best bet, is to make your own job - doing errands, mowing lawns, walking dogs, babysitting, odds and ends chores, etc.
