My Grandma and Grandad are having trouble getting travel insurance because my Grandma is under 65 and my Grandad is over 65. Any tips/ Websites? Grandfather-if he is in Medicare should explore a medicare sup policy which bears international coverage. This would fill the gaps for his policy. If he is still employed, he may want to reach out to his current carrier. Most carriers pay international emergency claims. Grandmother- If she is on a medical policy already she should explore her carrier for their international coverage. Medicare does NOT cover internationally, and you should NEVER obtain travel insurance from a travel agent. They are not insurance agents and therefore what they sell is not insurance.
