What if you have done drugs in the past and know looking for life insurance that requires a blood test? -

Number one, you need to be honest with your insurance broker. If they are good, they should understand they need to find a good company that can handle your situation better than most. Here is an article about why you don't want to lie to the insurance companies. Different drug, same story: http://www.councilfinancial.com/tobacco-... Depending on your history, there are some long term mortality concerns with drug use, and not all companies view the risk the same. In fact some companies could offer non-rated policies if you admit to smoking pot occasionally while others will decline to even consider you. If your agent is unhelpful, find another one. I'm unimpressed with agents who don't know how to negotiate underwriting procedures. Even if you have done drugs, you may be able to qualify for life insurance. Usually, any form of drug may be out of your system within 30-45 days. However, make sure to answer all questions truthfully on your life insurance application. If you lie to get coverage, they may void your policy within the first two years - it's called the "Incontestable Clause" in the policy. Also, you do have another option - you can apply for term life insurance with no medical exam and no blood tests. To learn more, Visit - http://www.term-life-online.com/term-lif... The premium may be a little higher for this type of coverage, but there are no blood tests, and you may even be able to start your coverage today. I hope that helps! Best of luck to you. above guy is right on....depends on what you mean by past As an insurance agent, as long as it's been a long time since you have used anything so that it does not show up on blood tests, their's nothing stopping you! Well, as a former user myself, i can tell you that it all depends on what you took, how long ago you took it, and if you still do. If you are off the stuff, for any extended period of time, then quite frankly, it is none of their business. if you are still using, that is a problem. Illicit drugs can take up to a week to leave your system, but can be in a hair sample for 6 months or longer. Pot can be in your system for a month or so, depending on how much you smoked, and for how long. Hence, if you still partake, stop! You can go to a health clinic, and have them test your blood levels, before your actual test, but pay cash, dont use your insurance, obviously. Good luck, and just say no.
