Can I stop paying employment insurance if I'am a student? -

Part time work and full time student. Paying employment insurance. I want to get out of paying this "tax" on the shillings I get. As a full time student when you file your income taxes, the CRA will give you a refund for an EI "overpayment" Also note, since you're a student you are not covered under worker's comp, so be careful about work-related injuries. My buddy missed one semester and had two operations because a chicken pecked his hand. WSIB didn't cover him since he was enrolled in university. I don't think you are in America, but it sounds like this is the equivalent of Social Security. No. I don't believe you get to choose what taxes to pay anywhere, not just in the US.
