I have my pc license. What are some companies I can apply for that will pay at least 45,000 on commission or salary? I am desperate. No one is going to pay you that kind of money. And no one is going to "guarantee" that commission. You need to go to some local agents, and see if they'll let you sell for them, STRAIGHT COMMISSION, for a 50/50 split. That means, you use their office, their phones, their postage, their support staff, and their contracts, to sell insurance. They pay you half the commission, for any business you write. Most insurance sales people wash out, because they can't sell, or don't want to put in the massive hours the job requires. There's no risk to them (or little risk to them) if you are going to wash out. NO ONE is going to pay you, to see if you wash out or not. The odds are against you - 95% of agents can't last a year. Doubt VERY seriously if you're going to make $45000 the first year......as a producer....a lot of personal lines companies are paying "as earned" now. You might try talking to State Farm, Allstate or Farmers. Even Geico is looking for folks in certain areas. GOod luck and I hope this helps!
