On Amazon Whats A third-party seller? -
Im Confused!! :S Its a company or seller trading through amazon but the item is not held by or dispatched by amazon. Sometimes you get items not stocked by amazon or the third parrty sellers may be selling the same product cheaper. You still go through the same buying process as you would normally and are protected by amazon for purchases! A seller other than Amazon itself, who uses Amazon to promote their services as a seller. It is simply a company other than Amazon that is selling via their site. They also offer the opportunity for individuals to sell used books etc. The one who puts his items on Amazon. It means Amazon is indirectly seeling to you through the third party. You are the first party, Amazon the second, and the one who actually puts items in listings on Amazon is third party seller. This is rare on Amazon. A poplular example where third party sellers are the only ones seeling on the entire site is ebay! someone who isnt part of the amazon company, like if i was selling a TV on there, I'd be the third party seller. i sell brand new books on amazon so i am a 3rd party seller, selling cheaper than amazon does. you get same guaranteed and customer service, if you don't amazonstrike us off there 3rd party list you and amazon are first and second parties, other ppl or company post ads through amazon to sell their stuff are considered 3rd party. a third party seller is someone selling an item for someone else The middle man. Gets stuff and sells it and pays the manufacturer (with a cut of course).
